Praise for Rogers

In response to Letter in The Citizen paper: Good job Dan, you couldn't have written it more clearly that you did. I totally enjoyed reading it and agreed with everything you said. Having grown up children, I reflect back on when they were in school.

In response to Letter in The Citizen paper:

Good job Dan, you couldn't have written it more clearly that you did. I totally enjoyed reading it and agreed with everything you said. Having grown up children, I reflect back on when they were in school. As a parent we teach our children to love, be kind, and accept everyone as they are. This follows them through each grade. Our children, knew that all their friends were always welcome in our home, regardless of colour, gender, religious belief, it was never an issue. It's sad that in 2010 there are still parents who have to bury their heads in the sand and have panic attacks about issues that you eventually won't be able to control. When kids become teens, they will choose who they want to hang out with and for parents who think for one minute that they are raising the perfect kids who always do what their parents say, you had better get a reality check. Dan Rogers is the mayor for all the people in P.G. and should be commended for being part (when asked) to represent all cultures, groups and events.

Each time I open my paper and read the letters to the editor, it seems that the same group of people are always writing the negative letters. Don't you have anything better to do Julia? And just for the record, I didn't vote for Dan Rogers for a lot of reasons, but I do support him on this subject. Maybe Julia and Phil should put their children in a bubble and above the bubble sign that reads, "Raised by homophobic parents." People, lets get with the program.

Have a nice day.
