As a 51-year resident of BCbH (British Columbia beyond Hope) I'm delighted to hear that I'll be subsidizing Lower Mainland motorists who use the Port Mann bridge. Picking up my share of this $4.2 B project - which I use about once a year - makes me feel wanted, although a bit used. By the way, for those Lower Mainland whiners who grouse about tolls being taken off the Coquihalla highway, those tolls were removed when the capital cost of construction was paid off.
Removing the Port Mann tolls is an NDP ripoff, a blatant pandering to political support, it puts our provincial credit rating at risk and has absolutely no regard for a cleaner environment.
