Politicians control Williston Lake levels, not water controller

What he is not telling you is the water controller does not make the final decision. He sends his report to the Liberal cabinet for approval.

The cabinet is controlled by the premier's office, so any decision on Mackenzie's future will be made by Christy Clark. Isn't that what I said in my last letter?

For the last 50 years, BC Hydro has had no problem maintaining the minimum level on Williston Lake above 2,147 feet.

Site C gets announced and BC Hydro starts the process to get permission to drop Williston lake to never before seen levels. So it's a little insulting for him to tell us one has nothing to do with the other.

A political decision was made to build Site C and a political decision will be made on Williston Lake and Mackenzie's future.

That's so wrong.

A good political decision for Christy Clark would be to set the level on Williston Lake at 2,150 feet and correct the only mistake Ray Williston made 50 years ago.

That would make her our saviour, our hero. She has the power to do it. But I'm not holding my breath.
