Please signal your turns

Traffic circles were not a part of drivers' education in the past. They may be for some but not the majority, I'm sure. There are very basic rules to follow for the consideration, convenience and safety of all who use them.

Traffic circles were not a part of drivers' education in the past. They may be for some but not the majority, I'm sure. There are very basic rules to follow for the consideration, convenience and safety of all who use them. This allows them to function as intended and help traffic flow.

1. Signal into the circle (right turn signal).

2. If leaving at the next exit, continue to signal right, while exiting. (This lets the drivers waiting to enter the circle know you're leaving, allowing them to enter the circle).

3. If traveling to any exit, other than the first exit, signal to the inside (left) of the circle to tell other drivers you are staying in the circle and passing them to go to another exit.

4. Once at your desired exit, signal out just like in rule No. 2

If none of these steps can be remembered, please remember two things: signal when leaving the circle, and those already in the circle have the right of way.

These are all laws.

If the city plans on more traffic circles they should teach people how to use them
