Hey Campbell, Harper, Clarke or whatever your interchangeable name is today, get your hands off my child. What is wrong with you type of people who don't just turn a blind eye but actively support putting more money in your and your friends pockets than back into society where it's generated from. It's shocking how much the personal wealth of our politicians has increased in the past decade compared to the average school budget and easy to see why.
If you, our government including the people and businesses it employs, can't find a way to properly fund it then get out of the way and let people who can. You and your ideology are a failure. And I'm tired of the government hiding behind the BCPSEA as they are shamefully one in the same. Why don't you live up to your obligations and address the various court rulings declaring your actions unlawful if you want to have any moral authority to continue to lead the province in any area, not merely education.
Are your morals seriously compromised to the point of forsaking something as basic as education for our children's and society's future? You and your businesses are worth nothing without educated (= ability to do work and earn money) people to make and buy society's outputs. Less education equals less ability to compete (more "Ya want fries with that" than "Lets take another look at your financial portfolio"). Educationally speaking we are competing globally, so regardless of how we fare shouldn't we be striving to be #1?. Yet the usual suspects regardless of name buttress their interests and forsake society's as they will persevere regardless as they can afford what others can no longer.
Only a moron would forward the argument in Canada that government cares more about children and education than our teachers and educational support workers. Teachers here and everywhere know what's good locally, not a bunch of self-serving politicos only interested in "holding the line" so they can become richer.
To those in government with any decent morals, I understand you're likely in the back benches but would you please earn your keep, as my mom would've said. Now she'd teach you a thing or three about proper morals. Where are our leaders...
