I am writing this letter in disgust of the Citizen printing two picture of the the deceased male who was shot to death this past weekend. Monday morning I wake up to a full front page story of this shooting and two very distasteful pictures of the deceased male lying in the street on his stomach with blood soaked clothing and a bloody mouth. What was the citizen thinking that this would sell more papers. I think the citizen wasn't thinking at all because if they had they would have thought about the family of this person lying in the street. How about the impact of children who view these photos at home or the kids who deliver the papers. Now the person who shot killed this male has a trophy. The Citizen should have taken a photo of the victims legs and printed that instead as it would have the same meaning dead is dead. Its unfortunate that of late the Citizen has made some bad decisions regarding comments and pictures in an other wise good solid paper. However if they choose to do things in poor taste and call it it news worthy then I personally will not subscribe to that paper. Let me be very clear here I am not a sensitive person where everything bothers me but there is a fine line between good and bad journalism and this was bad call in my opinion. This has left me wondering what happen to the Citizen's moral and ethics and the concept of dignity and defense of the victim.
