P.G. needs to support Coyote's

The Westwood Pub has been having me DJ there since last summer. I have to say how impressed I am with the overall atmosphere. I have been known to say that it's got a real Cheers vibe going on.

The Westwood Pub has been having me DJ there since last summer. I have to say how impressed I am with the overall atmosphere. I have been known to say that it's got a real Cheers vibe going on. The owners treat me so well, the staff and patrons are friendly and they support the local community. In short, it is a good scene.

So when I caught wind that the same owners have proposed a new nightclub, Coyote's, of course I support it 100 per cent. The new nightclub would be in the old Cineplex 123 building. What a perfect idea for the existing architecture and what a great nightclub setting. Prince George night life is, to say the least, lacking.

We have: One rough, old, fight ridden nightclub; one nightclub rife with the scent of Axe cologne and teens fresh to the realm of legal drinking; one peeler bar; and one alternative / GALA nightclub. These night entertainment venues have a valuable place in our community.

Personally, myself and many, many other vivacious dance-loving types either don't feel comfortable in them or just don't enjoy them. So we need more options.

Prince George's population is big enough. With crowds that are vast and ever changing, we have outgrown what is currently available for nightlife. We need to grow, adapt and improve.

From my first hand experience with the Westwood, I can say that the new nightclub will be run like a ship.

It will attract and sustain a fun, safe and respectful crowd. It will impress.

Our community needs to support it. Show your support via e-mail to Jesse Dill at the City of Prince George:
