P.G. is a hockey town?

In 1996, my wife & I moved to BC from Eastern Canada to be with our two children already settled here. When we arrived in Prince George the talk around town was all about thee "Prince George Cougars.".

In 1997 we managed to get tickets for a few games. The passion and enthusiasm in the stands was phenomenal and also good hockey at the junior level.

In 1998 we became season ticket holders and still are to date. I don't often agree with the decisions of management and scouting, and the of often mentioned word 'rebuilding" cannot be repeated for several years.

Yes, I also played hockey in an eastern province at different levels and it is my favorite sport. Personally, I still think the Cougar games are the best entertainment in town.

Attendance at these games is very low and the words "Bandwagon and Hockeytown" deserves a question mark.
