Oversaturating the trades market

I like the idea of training more young people to enter the world of trades. It is a lot better to do something you enjoy and feel confident at than spend multiple years in university to become unemployed. Worse yet to be over-qualified for anything.

One of my fears is that all our good paying jobs will become denigrated by flooding the market and driving the wages down. These trade jobs are paying a decent living wage, anything less is just poverty-level living.

As a retired certified tradesman, I still enjoy the fruits of my past employment. So my advice to the young novices and apprentices, work hard and excel and don't let your guard down over your wages.
