Outrageous

I can't believe the chain of events that have transpired over the last couple of years. It started with the school district telling a school of 50 kids that they needed to raise $30,000 for a new playground that our kids could not do without.

I can't believe the chain of events that have transpired over the last couple of years.

It started with the school district telling a school of 50 kids that they needed to raise $30,000 for a new playground that our kids could not do without.

Then, the SD telling us that our school was closing, and the playground they just got would probably not be going with them to their new school because they could not move it.

To me, shopping for a list of school supplies is unrealistic. When I get to the til I was asked if I wanted to donate to School District 57. Are you kidding?

We just spent three years raising $30,000 for a playground we can't use, we, being all the parents of our school.

I also don't even have a bus schedule yet. (Daycare's are easy to find at last minute aren't they?) I'm appalled at the audacity SD 57 has to ask me for a "donation."

Concentrate on the well-being of the kids not hitting parents up for more time and money for things that aren't needed.
