I used to love dogs, I owned three of them. My dogs spent their days laying by the front door, barking and growling at wild animals and strangers who came down our driveway.
My dogs never left the boundaries of my property unless I took them walking.
Some dog owners have trouble with the definition of property boundary, some dog owners think it's okay when their barking dog leaves their property and runs after innocent people walking, or in my case, running down the street.
I've been accosted by snarling, growling dogs in my neighbourhood many times and have been bitten several times by the same dog. Despite evidence in the form of teeth marks on my thighs, the owners of these dogs refuse to believe their dogs are responsible.
Sometimes I wish I had a gun and knew how to shoot it, so I could deal with the problem of badly-behaved dogs myself.
