Opinion: The real nonsense is the Justin Trudeau government

Canada may not be dying, but the real nonsense of over taxing and wasting money on interest payments in Ottawa needs to stop.

In regards to Neil Godbout's editorial (Stop with the ‘Canada is Dying’ "nonsense), three million people have viewed Aaron Gunn's "Vancouver is Dying" video and I was one of them. I was not aware of the second YouTube "Canada is Dying" video but will add this to my viewing list. Thanks for the heads up.

In "Vancouver is Dying," I was amazed at the blocks and blocks of sidewalk and tent cities encampments. My sister was in Vancouver with a very sick grandson last summer and made the mistake of driving down East Hastings. Since Gunn's video did not say how extensive these tent cities are, I asked my sister how far they extended. She estimated maybe 10 city blocks on both sides of the street. WOW!

Too bad that my very sick great nephew had to go to such a dysfunctional city to get health care. This is the reality of health care in Canada today and it is nonsense.

A federal government that has allowed Canadian total debt to double in eight short years is nonsense.

There is now more money budgeted to pay interest on that debt than what the federal government is budgeting to help provinces to pay for health care. This is the real nonsense of Canada today.

Canada may not be dying, but the real nonsense of over taxing and wasting money on interest payments in Ottawa needs to stop.

The real nonsense is a PM that believes that budgets will balance themselves.
