The editorial in the Wed. April 3 paper had some interesting facts that were agreeable except the ending. I would suggest that to write off the present Liberal Government because of poll numbers is a colossal mistake. As in the recent federal and Alberta election the polls were way off. If the provincial taxpayer didn't like the HST just watch what the NDP will do if they get into power. Mr. Dix and the NDP are silent on what their platform is, because it will involve higher taxes on corporations and wealthy individuals, the latter being as what defines wealthy. I would suggest that those high-paying union workers in the oil and gas, mining sector, and construction industry better be careful on voting for the NDP as they will be probably be the wealthy individuals I am suggesting.
In closing, don't always believe the polls. The B.C. Liberals are not on the way out and campaign trails have lots of twist and turns. It will be interesting to hear Mr. Dix's story on how he is going to change things for the better in B.C. We already have one of the strongest economies in the country with a bright future, and people actually have jobs. Only a free enterprise government the B.C. Liberals will keep that momentum going.
