Opinion: 70 per cent of residents displeased with parkade report, poll finds

Most Prince George residents are unhappy with the results of the legal review into the downtown parkade project, an online Citizen poll conducted during the past two weeks revealed.

The poll asked: How satisfied are you with the results of the legal review of the downtown parkade project?

Nearly half of the respondents (529 respondents, representing 48 per cent) said they were completely unsatisfied while another 22 per cent (249 respondents) said they were mostly unsatisfied. Meanwhile, eight per cent (86 respondents) said they were partly satisfied and partly unsatisfied, while six per cent (66 respondents) said they were mostly satisfied and five per cent (53 respondents) said they were completely satisfied. Eleven per cent (127 respondents) said they were not sure

A total of 779 confirmed local votes were cast in the poll. This poll had a 3.49 per cent margin of error, 19 times out of 20.

This was a random poll, meaning the poll question appeared only to random visitors of The Citizen’s website. The Citizen's polling system built into the new website allows for the capture of relevant local data and gives us the ability to detect and prevent fraudulent votes, as well as detect and prevent robots and filter out non-local and duplicate votes.
