On Monday night city council was invited to attend a Community Conversation on the Core Service Review. This was put to council as an open invitation to hear for Prince George residence about the mayor and council's plans to cut, contract out or privatizes our city services. One would think this would have been a welcomed invitation but, no not for Mayor Green, or councilors Wilbur, Koehler, Krause and Stolz. I would have thought if mayor and council were so strongly in favour of the KMPG report and the opportunities outline in it, there would be no reason to fabricate excuses, and not only once, as to why they will not entertain this community conversation. I find their attitudes deplorable and it is a strong showing of discontent toward the residents of Prince George. We have a right to speak up, for or against the mayor and council's plans for us and our city. If they do not want to hear it they should look for another job.
