It is my understanding that when a person gets to the age of 50 years or older it seems a lot harder to get a job in Prince George or anywhere else. There has been times that my friends and I will go to a store to do some shopping and we have found that the young sales staff are too busy texting on their phones to help the customers.
The people that are over 50 years or older have more knowledge in helping in a job, whether it's in retail or in offices.
The people that are 50 years or older are forced to find other opportunities like self employment or retire. I think that Prince George should be more flexible in hiring more people in their 50s and 60s that have more experience with work and can work with the younger crowd, so the younger crowd would gain more experience by following the older crowd on how they do things in different jobs.
