I was interested to read about Northern Gateway witness John Thompson's testimony before the Joint Review Panel about how oil spills are actually great because of the economic activity they produce. "Nobody is any worse off," he says. This makes me wonder why we were trying to catch the Chetwynd pipeline bomber. Doubtless he was only worried about mill closures and seeking to generate employment. Heck, maybe Adolf Hitler should get a posthumous Nobel Prize for ending the Depression.
