Not the right place for Rangers

Let me start by saying that I am a huge supporter of our armed forces, my son is a reservist and has done a tour in Afghanistan, but I must voice my displeasure with this city council's intent to locate the new reserve unit at the old Meadow school.

Let me start by saying that I am a huge supporter of our armed forces, my son is a reservist and has done a tour in Afghanistan, but I must voice my displeasure with this city council's intent to locate the new reserve unit at the old Meadow school.

Part of their training includes drill that are quite loud and boisterous. A residential neighbourhood is not the place for this kind of activity. A better location would be near the university as some of the new reservist will probably be attending UNBC.

Another idea would be to contact the Prince George Rod and Gun Club, perhaps some arrangement could be made that would be beneficial to both parties. Once again this council is showing its disdain and lack of respect for the people that they are supposed to represent.

I hope that common sense will for once, infect this city council and not allow this school to be used for this purpose.
