First off I would like to say that I agree totally with Mr. Denman's comments concerning the proposed games tax outlined in his letter dated March 11.
My family and I have been residents of Prince George for more than 30 years, and although I do not disagree with all of the decisions made by our city council, I certainly disagree with the games tax forced upon us.
I for one have had enough of the way our mayor and his band of cronies spend our tax dollars in this area of rising costs for almost everything.
The last thing we needed to hear was councils decision to impose this ridiculous games tax on the backs of the already over-taxed citizens of Prince George.
I commend councillors Skakun and Wilbur for making it clear they do not agree with this game tax.
This should have gone to a referendum vote as part of this years municipal election. I can assure Mayor Rogers and his band of councillors that my family's four votes won't be sent in his direction.
