No raises until costs under control

To the mayor and council, I think it is very appalling that just a couple a months ago you had to raise taxes because we had no money to fix infrastructure in our city, then you give yourselves a raise.

All the talk about Brain Skakun giving information out and found guilty was wrong. I feel that Mr. Skakun has big shoulders on council for not supporting the increase in councillors' wages.

We have a mayor that had to go out and hire a communications expert because he couldn't do the job himself.

The taxpayers in Prince George need to take a stand now, we as Canadians are complacent. If you look at what's happening in the Middle East with the young generation, they had enough of dictators and government rulers who keep getting richer and the people that pay taxes keep getting poor.

Instead of raising taxes maybe we should take a good look at cutting wages of senior management at city hall such as our communication expert that cost taxpayers approximately $100,000 per year.

As mayor, if Dan Rogers needs an expert to talk to the taxpayers of Prince George, he is not the man to run this City.

To get cost under control in Prince George, we need at a least 30 per cent reduction in senior city staff plus another 20 per cent reduction in wages for the rest of the senior staff.

Then we put a cap on all city workers at between $43,000 to $46,000 per year.
