No end to plastic?

Where does all our plastic go? Lets talk true recycling..paper, bottles..no problem. I know I've been a recycler for a while now and have found all the plastics being collected (only milk jugs) are only stockpiled locally.

Where does all our plastic go?

Lets talk true recycling..paper, bottles..no problem. I know I've been a recycler for a while now and have found all the plastics being collected (only milk jugs) are only stockpiled locally. These jugs are a very small part of my plastic volume being (not) recycled. Where does the rest go? Plastic is not biodegradable! We need to get going..and not just curbside pick up..there's three or four companies doing that already, more efficiently and reasonably priced than our city could ever manage. Anyway, ask your counsellor and current recycling company, where's our plastics going? P.G. pile? To a Vancouver processing plant? China? Where's the end of the road for it? Counsellors, ask your MP! I know mine's being squirreled away valiantly, on his own property waiting for a solution.Good ethics and effort! It's not going to earthfill, but. "Yer gonna havta buy a lot more property young fella!" We need a chipping, melting, remolding, a "recycling system" for all plastics. Ideas anyone? Put it on your curbside recycler or counsellor. "What are you doing with my plastic?" Watch the look on their faces. If they are not stockpiling it themselves, they are probably piling it up right into the landfill. Feel better recycling? Me neither, get on it!
