On behalf of the 2009-2010 Prince George Folkfest Society board of directors I would like to say an enormous thank you to all those who rallied around the Coldsnap Music Festival Jan. 22 to 30 making it a great success for our community and beyond.

We would like to congratulate all the volunteers, artists and sponsors in making our third winter event a happening nine days for the City of Prince George. The festival made it to CBC Radio 3's top 5 art events going on across Canada during the time period of the first weekend. It made it again for the third year in the top 5 list for events going on in B.C. in the Globe and Mail.

Organising a successful festival showcasing superb local, national and international musicians is only done with the goodwill and positive support of our local community. The music stylings of Coldsnap cut across genres and provide somewhat of an alternative option for entertainment in Prince George.

It has become recognized as a national festival and we hope to continue. We are all volunteers just wanting to add to the culture of our city through this event and in turn providing a good news story coming out of Prince George. We also present shows throughout the year and last year offered over 20 concerts.

Thanks for the much appreciated, valued support and we hope to see you soon at an upcoming concert. Check out www.coldsnapfestival.com for news and events.
