I teach wood shop at Duchess Park. With the nearing of the school year my shop classes are running full steam ahead. We only have a few weeks before the term ends when major projects are due. Typically at this time of year, I and probably most of the shop teachers in our district, leave our shops open at lunchtime so students who need extra time to complete their projects and do so by the concrete deadlines. I typically donate my only break of the day to "my kids" because I care.

Unfortunately we have been forbidden by our government through our school district superintendent, Brian Pepper, to be on school grounds or help students at lunchtime. So if little Johnny or Sarah come home frustrated, disappointed, or even in tears, with a handful of parts instead of a beautiful artifact, please consider why.
