Unlike Peter Sherba, I am a fan of policies that bring our province together.

As a young British Columbian, Carole James and the New Democrats impress me. Carole has been out engaging students, parents, seniors and British Columbians about what matters.

More than that, she is inspiring us. Already, she has made a couple of visits to Prince George to hear what students are facing at the College of New Caledonia and the University of Northern B.C.

As a recent graduate, my student loan is at $16,000, still below the average debt of graduates at $27,000, which takes years to pay back. The longer it takes for graduates to pay back their loans, the longer it will take for them to afford a house, car, or any of the other amenities that drive our economy.

To make matters worse, B.C. is charging the highest interest rates for student loans in the entire country. The policies of the B.C. Liberals are hurting young people like me.

I'm happy Wescana CEO Peter Sherba has done so well under the B.C. Liberals. The rest of us who are not CEOs are looking for leadership that will allow us to prosper too. And that's what Carole can deliver.
