More than oil will flow through proposed pipeline

There'll be more than just crude oil flowing through the proposed Enbridge pipeline. There will also be jobs. Crude is a raw material and we as Canadians can refine that down to its finished product. To do this would create thousands of jobs.

There'll be more than just crude oil flowing through the proposed Enbridge pipeline. There will also be jobs. Crude is a raw material and we as Canadians can refine that down to its finished product. To do this would create thousands of jobs. That job would now have a face. The face of your neighbour, your brother, your sister or your best friend.

This job would allow them to buy a house or build a house,to be able to go shopping for clothing or sporting gear for the kids. For some, the question of whether or not to have more children is answered.

Of course, taxes also go with the job. These taxes pay for our medical, our policing, our children's education and the building and carrying of our roadways.

Shipping these jobs through a pipe and into a boat and floating them off to another country is a planed disaster. Our own design.

This resource is ours, as Canadians, it belongs to us. The jobs related to it, also belong to us, allowing jobs to flow out of this country. It's a slap in our own face.

How to change this? I'm not sure. Talking about this impact on the Canadian workforce would be a good start. So talk to your neighbour, your brother, your sister, your best friend. Ask them how a good job would impact them?

There will be a pipeline in somebody's neighborhood. The jobs that flow through it, is a theft to all neighbourhoods. The pipeline is flawed, if at the end of it there are no jobs. This flaw is the design of the pipeline and this is not talked about.

The pipeline is designed to not leak and yet the potential of a disaster if it did, is talked about, a lot. We need, also to talk about the social impact of everything that is flowing through the pipeline.
