I found your editorial "Don't blame the dog" that charged Transportation Minister Todd Stone with cynically trying to direct public attention away from more important issues, a case of the kettle calling the pot black.
Take another look at your coverage of the event, Friday. The story is full of unsubstantiated claims made by the minister that you, nevertheless, chose to run as front-page news.
If Mr. Stone has a duty to have more of the facts in front of him before he goes to the press, perhaps you have an equal or greater responsibility in assessing the correctness of the facts before you print them.
