I'd like to offer my sincere congratulations to the conference hosts and City of Prince George for hosting the Minerals North "Opportunity Rocks" Conference , April 21-23. This conference is hands down the best regional minerals and mining conference in Canada. I was amazed to see more than 1,000 delegates, 100 exhibitors and a broad spectrum of aboriginal, government and business leaders, all focused on the positive contributions a strong healthy and vibrant mineral exploration and mining sector can deliver to northern communities.
Hearing first-hand the many exciting projects that are moving forward including Mount Milligan, Red Chris, and the electrification of the Highway 37 corridor was truly inspirational. The positive messages and pro-development attitude of northern communities is alive and well, and more importantly, the backbone of our provincial economy.
I will plan on being in Stewart for Minerals North 2011.
