Just to let you know, I support proportional representation.
I also think that the BCSTV is a phenomenal study. Reading the 350 page BCSTV report and understanding how the public was manipulated during the second referendum is also important in the current PR assessments and undertaking.
As always, the necessity of having mainstream media maintaining independent and higher ethics includes wider inclusion of facts and views.
The daily discussion of most people is like most news - simply a regurgitation of narrow self-interested views obtained from others, with no independent deeper thought. That regurgitation is so typically derived from those whom wish to manipulate and tend to be politically motivated rather than motivated by higher values common to all people and life. That motivation is also typically and wrongly using false assumptions and false fear about money.
Human intelligence must prevail over such a thoughtless system that is so pervasive.
Obviously The Citizen has the enviable position to truly show leadership by bringing more thoughtful reporting to the minds of its subjects.
The ability of media such as The Citizen to become something outstanding is to adhere to higher values as an organization and individuals within it.
Surely that is possible even within the constraints of your organization.
