I do not know that recall or impeach is possible in municipal politics as it would take to long to make it happen.
While reading this paper on Dec. 27 I was appalled that Mayor Shari Green stated those that do not agree with her stance on her policies should leave for greener pastures. Well Shari if having a different idea of what should take place in Prince George means we should leave, I really do not know where the tax base would be to afford all these plans, as 75 per cent of the populace would leave. I must tell you I have lived here, I think, for a heck of a lot longer than you have and to suggest I live elsewhere really offends me. I love my city likely more than you, and do not wish to see it self destruct. Of all the mayors we have had over the years you have reached a new high for absolutely bad leadership. You have gone against the people of P.G. on most issues, you have raised taxes and brought in many new fees, (taxes) without regard for most, mainly seniors on fixed incomes. You have squandered many millions on trips, fantasy plans, and other extravagances, hired many more bureaucrats, who run the city, and the list just goes on and on. In fact seeing as paid, un-elected people run the city, and you and council just rubber stamp, without question, really we could do just as well do without you and council, you are at best just figureheads.
If the statement about leaving the city was from your lips, and not your well-paid PR person, then you have definitely not received what you are paying for at our expense. Shame on you Mayor Green. When you were elected I voted for you. You said some of the right things, but over the last years you have done such a poor job, I think by the time you get through your family and friends, your ballot base will be gone, the people that originally elected you have seen through your real intentions, and you are right, it will show, come election time.
