Those who attend the Farmers Market hear about the vendors' rift (Making the best at the Market, August 21), but we also enjoy having the two market locations and especially the walk between them, which has become part of the weekend ritual. George Street might not be the greatest urban stroll, but take in the fresh waft from the bakery, the traditional cobbler, some burnt timbers awaiting renewal, the Woody Innovation Cube and the old Niners Diner, PG's best restaurant back in '95.
Some day the market split might be seen as the spark that finally rejuvenated downtown. As Python said: Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.
