On New Years Eve, my dog very unfortunately got out of the house when a friend came in, and was no where to be found.
That night we roamed the streets to find her, and did the same the next day... my dad driving, and my mom and I ugly crying. I put a lost profile on the SPCA website, and at about 3 o'clock, I got a call from them.
This young couple saw my dog running down the middle of Ospika, and almost got run over by a cab driver. So, they followed her until she stopped running and into someone's backyard. The lady said my dog was growling at her, but she reached out to pet her head. She said Maddie, my dog, was so scared that she just jumped into her arms. They took Maddie into their vehicle, and drove around to look for us, but we were looking in different neighborhoods. They took Maddie home and gave her a hot bath and cleaned her up. She said Maddie slept on the couch with her the whole night.
I was assuming that the worst had happened to my dog, and could have, if not for these amazing people. I am so grateful that these people took time out of their New Year's Eve to help someone else in this incredible way.
My New Year's resolution; help out a stranger in some way like these people have done for me.
Thanks again, Maddie was lucky that you found her that night.
