Mr. Gabriel thinks resistance to the transit plan is deplorable and suggested those who are against it are selfish, shortsighted and do not take the larger interests of the community into consideration. Really!
Anyone with any vision will see that driving big empty busses around town will not last. They will know that small, Uber or self-driving vehicles are the way of the future.
They will see that rezoning recreational property for a temporary industrial purpose is shortsighted and against the interests of the community.
They will recognize that elected officials will be punished at election time for taking a decision that harms the long term viability of the city. It will be clear that they cannot be trusted to maintain green space.
It is time this ridiculous project be abandoned or moved to an appropriate location.
