I would like to extend a big thank-you to Prince George for their amazing hospitality in hosting the Premier's 13th Annual B.C. Natural Resources Forum last week.

The forum has established itself as the most diverse and important conference to learn first-hand the latest news, trends and opportunities linked to resource management in B.C., including financing, natural gas, energy, First Nations, minerals and mining, forestry, oil and gas, technology, trapping, agriculture and tourism.

We were amazed to see record attendance of over 900 delegates, 66 trade show booths and participation by a large contingent of leaders from First Nations and federal, provincial and local government.

I would also like to extend special thanks to Lheidli T'enneh Nation Chief Dominic Frederick for hosting the conference in the Lheidli T'enneh Nation traditional territory. It was great to see the National Aboriginal Energy and Power Association's (NAEPA) Procurement Match coinciding with the forum, allowing small aboriginal business owners and large corporations to meet and exchange ideas.

Lastly, I would like to thank the staff at the Prince George Civic Centre for their outstanding work in organizing the details of the Forum, ensuring that everything ran smoothly.

We look forward to the 14th Annual Premier's B.C. Natural Resources Forum which will be held from Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2017. Registration for this event will open on September 19, 2016.
