City council would like to cut costs without raising taxes. A good place to start would be to look at council itself. The mayor's salary and expenses, councilors' salary and expenses and overpaid city officials' salary and expenses should be reduced to equal amounts paid for comparable positions in Kamloops. A few positions could be eliminated without a reduction in services to the public.
