After listening to the people of Perry subdivision defend their area, I was pleased with the decision of the mayor and council in defeating this proposal. Traffic around Ferry Avenue is a major concern that needs to be addressed.
Now the next major decision the mayor and council need to make is the location of the B.C. Transit maintenance facility at the west end of 18th Avenue.
The letter to the editor by Jared Kassel very succinctly describes the damage that will be made to the future of our city if this location is approved.
To the mayor and council: Listen to the people again.
Trails for the oldies but goldies are much needed - 800 years of wisdom and experience age wise from the Senior Coffee Ladies at Second Cup adamantly oppose this location.
We love this area and wish to protect it for future generations.
