Out of the gate on this letter let me just say that the state that my teeth are currently in is 100 per cent my fault.
I dislike going to the dentist and the neglect over the years has made me lose a lot of teeth.
A couple bad experiences is all it can take for most of us. Keeping my fear of dentists in mind I was a little more than anxious when I went into Dr. Mann's office on May 21 to get a crown and two cavities filled.
It did not help that one of the cavities in question had grown to such a large size that Dr. Mann warned me that it might cause me sensitivity afterwards.
I take the sedation density (those of you that have not tried this and have a fear of the dentist you seriously need to get on board) and I leave his office with prescription in hand.
I take two pills before the freezing even wears off, I am worried, I go to bed with thoughts of major dental work hangover mouth in the morning, glass of water by my bed with my pills ready for anything.
I wake up I feel fine I have no pain at all. None.
I have not taken any pills for pain and it's amazing. I feel like someone who has had the same burger all their life and they like that burger but it's just a burger. Then you try a bacon and cheeseburger and your life is forever changed.
Sure the burger was good and it filled the void when you were hungry but the bacon cheeseburger was actually an enjoyable eating experience.
For those of you still out there looking for a good dentist, you have a fear of the dentist and major dental surgery, and you have neglected your teeth for so long out of fear that major dental surgery is unavoidable, please stop wasting your time, go see Dr. Mann.
His office is brand new. His staff is amazing and polite and super helpful. It's an experience you will enjoy.
I wish someone had told me about him years ago, it could have saved me a lot of money.
