Re: Long-gun registry only start of licence abolition.

Mr. Whitcombe like most, has confused licensing with the long-gun registry. The long gun registry is what the Conservatives wanted to abolish not licensing.

But since he has brought it up, lets ask a few questions. Mr. Whitcombe, if you forget to renew your drivers licence, will the police come and confiscate all your vehicles without compensation. If you forget to notify them within 30 days of moving, do you have the threat of five years in jail. If you forget your drivers licence or registration when you go driving, will you be arrested and your car confiscated. To get your driver's licence, do you need a RCMP background check, the signature of your spouse, or partners you have had in the last five years.

Drivers licence, car registration, not even the same thing. When they are, then you can come talk to me.

And for those who say that's the way it should be, firearms are dangerous. Ask yourself how many people you know who have been killed by a firearm and how many you know killed by a motor vehicle.
