After ongoing debates about electric vehicles, the Sunshine Coast Drag Racing Association can now accept race entries again from EV owners who wish to compete at any of the three drag race Sundays in 2024.
Our insurance provider requires EV owners to sign a waiver confirming that their EV is a standard unmodified factory model.
Not long ago, a road-licensed Tesla driver astonished the airport crowd by achieving the fastest terminal of the day, at 124 mph / 200 kph.
Here are the summer’s race dates:
• May 25 Saturday practice for members only.
• May 26 Sunday public race
• July 6 Saturday practice for members only.
• July 7 Sunday public race
• August 10 Saturday practice for members only.
• August 11 Sunday public race
• September 8 Sunday available as a rain date
