Letter to the editor: Park parking lot flooded

When the old outhouse, now long replaced, was installed at the south end of the parking lot, the streambed from culvert to the stream on the south side of the lot was blocked with fill.

I wish to bring to your attention, yet again, the recurrent annual problem of flooding of the Ferguson Lake Nature Reserve parking lot.

Each spring, melt water runoff from Ferguson Lake Road floods the parking lot.

When the old outhouse, now long replaced, was installed at the south end of the parking lot, the streambed from culvert to the stream on the south side of the lot was blocked with fill.

The solution is dredge the former stream bed to restore the former drainage.
