Regarding Julie Serup's letter (Sept. 22), reading this odious and narrow-minded letter sent me off to the Bible and Luke Chapter 10, to read more closely the parable of the Good Samaritan.
Oddly, I can find nothing there to indicate that the heroic caregiver checked the crime victim's religious affiliation before helping him.
Strange, considering that the storyteller was Christ.
I wonder what the Son of God would think of Ms. Serup's discriminatory call to take in "one's own" in preference to sufferers of a different faith.
