Let’s dispel the flu myths

It's that time of the year again, and already I hear people arguing about various myths related to the flu shot. I think it's time stop these myths from preventing people from getting the flu shot.

It's that time of the year again, and already I hear people arguing about various myths related to the flu shot. I think it's time stop these myths from preventing people from getting the flu shot.

So myths such as the shot can give you the flu should be dispelled. We need to realize that the immunity does not take effect instantly and that it is still possible to catch the flu in that time. Also various other airborne viruses and the common cold may be mistaken as the flu especially if it was contracted shortly after the flu shot. There is also a chance that immunity will not develop in certain people, making them just as susceptible as someone without the flu shot.

And, yes, there may be some potential side effects to the flu shot but I am sure the side effects of the flu are far greater. We need stop these needless myths from spreading since they are causing more harm than good.

Now I'm not asking anyone to take my word, but at least it can urge people to become more informed and conscious about the flu shot.
