Let's dance!

Recently there have been a number of letters to the editor in support for dancing in Prince George. We can't agree more. The Blues Underground Network has been bringing in award-winning musicians and dance bands for about eight years.

The Blues Underground Network has been bringing in award-winning musicians and dance bands for about eight years. We are a non-profit society offering dances within the safety of community halls throughout Prince George.

Our focus and concentration is on dancing and the musical entertainment, not the alcohol.

The community venues never hold more than 175 so we don't cater to large unruly crowds and we're done by 1 a.m. We feature lead musicians that are often supported by local musicians to provide a safe and reliable dancing environment. Dancing with the Blues may not always be two-stepping, but our shows are always entertaining and the dancing is superb. Our next dance and show features Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne, originally from the Deep South, now living in Vancouver. He will be supported by a local drummer, bass player and lead guitarist. Once again we focus on the dancing and the music, in a safe community hall while we support our local musicians and other service clubs.

Show your support for dancing and live award-winning musical entertainment - come and dance to the St. Patrick's Day Blues on March 17, at the Kinsmen Community Complex.

Tickets and memberships are at Books and Company.
