There are many patients on a waiting list for surgery.
I have been on a waiting list since Jan. 1, 2015. My personal opinion regarding this issue is that the doctors and surgeons have a better understanding of their patients, and the urgency of their personal situation. I feel that doctors and surgeons should have the right to place their patients, based on the severity and urgency of their injury.
I have suffered with this knee injury for two years. The pain and discomfort is excruciating and has confined me to my home, that has now become my prison. I am under doctor's orders to rest and stay at home. I feel that it is unfair that Northern Health makes all the decisions that puts me and other patients in this situation.
