Re: your editorial on kids in restaurants (April 4)
I spent some time in Mazatlan this past winter. What I love most about Mexico is seeing families with small children in restaurants with mom and dad having dinner and enjoying the live music.
Often the music begins at 6 p.m. and ends at midnight. These families stay to the end. Present are small children and babies that never cry - why should they? They are with mom and dad instead of at home with a baby sitter. Dancing and music is so good for the soul. We Canadians need to change our rules. We would have happier families and less drug overdoses.
