We always hear that nobody likes to shop downtown P.G. anymore. Have you tried to find a parking spot on Third or Fourth avenue lately?
No matter what time of the day, you cannot find one.
Who do these cars belong to? Are they really shopping or are they the downtown workers. At least when we had parking meters, workers didn't use all the spots.
I have actually looked in the bank and stores and a handful of shoppers in all. Enough for one side of parking, in one block. Where are the other drivers?
Are the little restaurants and cafes full all day with patrons? Marking tires is a joke. With exception of Saturday mornings and the Farmer's Market, there is no reason why parking spots aren't available for shoppers. So owners, start telling your staff to park elsewhere if you want business to improve.
