I think it is wonderful that schoolchildren are learning about nature and especially about being able to identify edible and medicinal wild plants and berries which our forefathers (not just aboriginal people but those also those who came from the Old World) used.
However, this is a very serious topic and when it comes to using or eating wild plants, proper identification must always be made.
Improper identification of edible and medicinal plants could cause serious illness or even death. Learn the plants, mushrooms, trees and berries properly.
