Lay off the RCMP

Re: BC Civil Liberties Association and David Eby's Recent Report on the RCMP.

Fourteen cities in 14 days says Mr. Eby.

How can this group possibly obtain a credible report from each city in that amount of time? Especially when in most cities 20 or less people showed up for the work shop.

I for one didn't even hear about a work shop being held in my city of Prince George.

Consequently, if the "words of the people" were used in this report, I think Mr. Eby has done a great disservice to the BC Civil Liberties Association in that he has ultimately destroyed his credibility and by association a great deal of credibility of the Civil Liberties group.

In spite of incidents like the recent one in Kelowna, I have faith in the RCMP and I respect them for the job they are trying to do. It is unfortunate that our justice system all but ties their hands behind their backs.

There are lousy school teachers, doctors, lawyers and the list goes on and on. And there will be some lousy cops, but I believe they soon surface like the "cowboy" in Kelowna did.

So, Mr. Eby, lay off the RCMP, you may need them one day!
