Law is being distorted to the advantage of the criminal

I read, with dismay, the report on the successful appeal of Dwayne Caron after being sentenced to two years jail for carrying a loaded semi-automatic gun and $60,000 cash. The original charge is forgotten on the basis of a technicality of the law.

I read, with dismay, the report on the successful appeal of Dwayne Caron after being sentenced to two years jail for carrying a loaded semi-automatic gun and $60,000 cash. The original charge is forgotten on the basis of a technicality of the law. It does not make this person any less of a hazard to the public. Now he is allowed to move about Prince George and carry on doing whatever it was that required a loaded semi-automatic weapon.

The law is being distorted to the advantage of the criminal. I write from afar as a former PG resident and a Grandfather of two young grandchildren living in PG.
