To Norm Coyne, the Northern FanCon team and the Prince George Citizen, thank you for your generous donation of tickets for high school students for Northern FanCon.
It is truly amazing that you have given these students the opportunity to go to an event like this.
I'm writing this letter on behalf of the students at Prince George secondary school who received tickets as they wished to thank you for making their dreams come true.
Often students, particularly those from lower income families, see these events come through town and want desperately to go but can't afford to.
It means a lot to them to be given the chance to experience Northern FanCon and you might meet some of them wandering around this weekend.
They asked for names of people they can thank, so if you see a teenager with a sticky note looking for Norm you'll know it's one of them!
Honestly if you could have heard the shrieks and shouts of pure joy when some of them found out they had won you would know exactly how much this means.
So from them and from me, thank you for doing this.
You don't have to do it, but it does make a difference and they do remember.
