There have been some seemingly, unrelated events unfolding in the media lately.
Namely, the foreign workers brought in by a foreign owned company to do mining, and then more recently the federal government allowing a communist country to takeover control of some of our natural resources.
I don't know about you, but I find this very disturbing, to say the least.
How long do you think, before the Chinese government decides that the labor costs in Canada are too high and should be brought down to their standards?
How long do you think, before the Chinese government decides that the labor codes of Canada are too restrictive, and should be brought down to their standards?
How long do you think, before the Chinese government decides that the safety standards of Canada are too restrictive, and should be brought down to their standards?
What's next?
Is the federal government going to allow the Chinese to buy up the forestry sector, the oil/gas sector and the coal mining (oops, they already have that).
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, in order to really be effective, the Chinese will have to control the media. Watch for some big newspaper takeovers, etc.
We Canadians better wake up, or start brushing up on our Mandarin!
